Hello All,
I have received offer from both these schools with 25% scholarship in each. I am struggling to decide between these two, so please help me out.
Profile: Indian IT male (classic!!!)
GMAT: 690
Experience: 6.5yrs(2yrs in London,UK) as Software Consultant
Aspiration after MBA: senior management roles in IT, Business Analyst.
I rejected Manchester Business School's admission offer with 5k£ scholarship, mainly because of the stringent post study work Visa rules. Ireland has 1yr post study work visa, while Germany has 1.5yrs PSWV and is the reason why I chose these two countries to apply to.
If decided to go for ESMT, I am ready to take German language course here in London, as I still have 7 months left for the course to start.
So please help me make the decision, UCD or ESMT?
Thanks
Balz

What level of German can you get in seven months in a London school?
Posted May 17, 2016 09:33
A2...Elementary Level.
Posted May 17, 2016 12:57
In that case go to UCD. Arriving with A2 I don't see how you can get to C1 by the end.

Considering I get to C1 by end of the year(Highly improbable though), which one is better UCD or ESMT?
Posted May 17, 2016 15:44
Indeed, it's very improbable unless you leave for Germany now. I'd put ESMT higher because the cohort is better but UCD is the safer choice.

UCD Safer in what sense?
Posted May 17, 2016 18:06
It's more likely to get you into work sooner, assuming that you don't speak perfect German by then.

How good is UCD at placing Non-EU students into jobs from EU countries?
Posted May 19, 2016 22:34
Quite good. Take a look at the FT rankings and add in at the employment, international mobility, placement and international student columns.

But perhaps not as good as ESMT is at placing non-EU students with perfect German.
