My First Post
I am a 32-year-old electrical engineer with 8 years of experience in a multinational construction firm in the middle east where I have been involved in medium to large scale projects with roles that largely involve managing a workforce of electrical trades. Lately, I don't find the job interesting because there is no growth and I feel underutilized hence I have decided to use the MBA to switch my career.
From the related posts, I have seen that a clear career goal is important in selecting an MBA program. This is my challenge now as I am undecided about which path will be suitable for me considering my background.
I am not asking to be spoonfed but I would appreciate insights and opinions from experienced members on paths that might be well suited for me considering my background so I can research further. I am doing mine but I feel stuck and need opinions
Thanks.

The careerleader.com test is very good for that.

Thanks Duncan. I took the test as you advised. Below are my results:
Interest factors (Personal highs) - Application of technology, quantitative analysis, coaching and mentoring.
Career matches (High scores) to my interests - Supply Chain Management, Production & Operations Management, accounting, Commercial Banking, Information system management, Finance, and Investment management.
Coincidentally, Supply chain management and Finance are fields I have considered previously. However, I still want to distill these choices. Given my results, could you share your thoughts?

Read the post on my profile page about LinkedIn. Maybe people in those roles do not have MBAs, so perhaps consider other options like specialised MSc degrees and professional qualifications. Also consider the growth of those fields in your target countries, their openess to career changers and the barriers to entry to the profession.
If you do that analysis, then the best of these options should reveal itself, insha'Allah.
