An EMBA after an MBA?

Hey Willy

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I finished my MBA (at George Washington) about 5 years ago - which led to some immediate career and salary growth, which has seemed to slow down recently.

Should I now pursue an EMBA program? I don't think I would go back to GW, but a program where I could fly in for weekend classes, and would potentially offer an international study trip (I was looking at NYU (Stern) as well as Ohio (Fisher).

I'm not sure if they would take you. How about some other executive masters, or an executive education programme? Also look at post-MBA programmes at Thunderbird and elsewhewre.

Discuss it with your employer - if you can define some concrete goals that are also in line with your employer's best interests, maybe they have options for you.

However, I honestly don't know how much you'd get out of doing an EMBA if you're already done a ranked MBA program. Networking? Leveraging new insights in management? If it's these kinds of things you might want to look into shorter executive education programs.
