Why didn't they just cancel this year's ranking? I don't understand how this ranking is valuable for anybody, with all the missing schools.

But beyond the missing schools, I don't understand some of the relative ranks. How is Foster ranked in the top 10, above a school like Tepper? How is Hult in the top 20 (and how on earth is it ranked higher than Wisconsin?)

It feels really wonky to me, and the more I look at it the more it irritates me. :)

I'm not sure what the point of these rankings is. The entire group of elite 'M7' US schools seems to be missing. There's no LBS, INSEAD, Cambridge Judge, Oxford Said etc from Europe and so on.

Yes, the M7 schools, as well as a whole bunch of other notable ones, decided not to participate in the ranking. I guess it's due to the pandemic and below-average placement results.

If they needed new content they could have just left the career stats generally where they were last year and just integrated some 'pandemic readiness and response' metrics. Because as it is now, with all these important schools missing, this ranking is just utterly useless. And since all anybody will be talking about this year will be the pandemic, the new metrics would have totally been at least somewhat useful.

I don't think it's to do with the pandemic. This ranking has always been a little odd but I think it's been several years since most of the top schools took part in it.

Most (all?) the top schools took part in the last iteration in 2019:

All M7 schools are there, plus most other notable ones.
