St.Gallen EMBA

I ve just noticed that St.Gallen emba has changed it's format (now it's not just the part time version of the FT). It's built in collaboration with ESADE
The schedule is interesting but... costs and location (not so easy to reach St.Gallen) are quite out of reach for people like me :-)

In addition they also offer a global version:

I think it's always been like that. Omnium is several years old...

I wonder if the EMBA's also have this Learning Assessment Week mentioned in this blog: http://stgallenmba.ch/studentblog/2012/second-half-of-the-mba-journey-in-full-speed/

Although nerve-racking it seems like quite a good way to get the MBAs exposure & to push them out of their comfort zones!

This is interesting, but I wonder how effective it is. Apparently, this learning assessment week, or "LAW," is a 90-minute oral exam on the MBA material, presentation skills, and current business events. According to the student's blog, it seems like everybody was spending most of their prep time reading about the current events in the FT. I get that students need to be able to apply their learning to the real world, but shouldn't being caught up on business be an ongoing process, and not something that a school needs to test for?
