MBA Manchester Metropolitan University

Hello All,

Can someone please share any experiences/returns on the MBA the Manchester Metropolitan University?

And any thoughts regarding the quality of this programme compared to others MBA in UK ?

I am currently working within a logistics company in Birmingham at a management level for almost two years now, I also had a management placement for 12 Months.

I have a degree from the University of Huddersfield (BSc) in supply chain management, graduated with 2:1 mark in 2012.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I think this will be on a par with other accredited, part-time MBAs at former polytechnics. I'm sure you'll have a fairly local cohort of managers.

What are your goals?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have realized during my time within Kuehne+nagel that I want/need to broad my profile/knowledge.
I do feel when applying to jobs also that I have a logistics/transport tag so this reduce the number of jobs I can be considered for.
As a medium/long term goal, I am planning to broad my profile so I can work for different industries rather than having one field where I am expert.
The other reason is that I am looking to come back to my home country (France) to work and Bachelors degree are clearly not enough to occupy management roles.

Hope this help, Thanks again.

In that case, I suggest you take a full-time programme and/or study in France, ideally both.

Hi

I am not considering going back to France for studies, I am way more comfortable with UK education than French one.
Besides, coming back in France would be a long-term desire, for the time being, I'm more keen building experience abroad.

Regarding the quality of the MBA itself, is there anything to consider in particular?

Thanks.

I suggest you get into the best programme you can, for reasons this book and various posts on this website will explain. Also read the FT MBA ranking and the posts linked on my profile page.
