IMD

Rhino

Hi,

I'm curious how come in this Forum, no one mention a lot about IMD... ppl seems to be too focus on INSEAD, LBS, HEC in europe... when I did my research it seems that ppl goes to LBS / INSEAD for I-banking or consulting jobs in London. and go to HEC for their marketing courses so that they can get into French luxury products Industry.

When I did some research on IMD, it seems that its focus is more on Manufacturing or FMCG industry like Evian, Nestle, Shell, etc.

so here are my questions regarding IMD:
- Am I wrong to assume that when a person graduate from IMD cannot get into Inv-Banking jobs ?
- Is it difficult to obtain jobs in Europe for Non-EU citizen ? even after obtaining MBA from IMD.

Thanks.

Although IMD is not as highly ranked as INSEAD, LBS, etc., I would still put it in league with those schools in terms of reputation and quality of the program, regardless of where you'd want to end up.

As far as getting a job post-MBA in Europe, I'd try and feel out the admissions people at the school about that. Often schools like IMD provide networking contacts and resources for employment. But you have to realize that the job market in Europe is depressed at the moment, and even grads from these top schools might still have difficulties.
