Hi All,
As part of my interview with HEC alumni in two weeks I have to give a 10 min. presentation. For those who went through the admission process, could you indicate what kind of subject would HEC be interested in?

Hey, don't know if you've seen this, but Accepted.com has a good database-- http://www.accepted.com/mba/interviews/Search_Results.asp?SourcePage=search.asp&School=219&AreaOfStudy=-1&LastXDays=9999&Gender=0&Age=-1&Score=122&Submit=Submit&bhcp=1

Hi MBAAdmCracker,
I have seen this site and indeed found some valuable info, but I needed to know in more details what kind of subjects have the candidates picked for their presentations. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
Cheers

No problem. The best topic is really something that you're personally familiar with on a professional level. The point is really just to sell yourself and to keep the panel interested. Good luck!

The point there is to get the interviewer interested into what you're talking about.
However, you should use it as an opportunity to kick-start your "Why MBA ? Why HEC ?" conversation.

Good point. Another thing to remember is that the panel may ask you quesions all out of order and intimidate you. Just keep your cool though. Part of leadership is to be able to show resilience to adversity. There really is no rule to an interview, so don't go looking for a formula. But yes, the standard questions you should get down are Why MBA? What are your strengths and weaknesses? Why HEC? What other schools did you apply for? What do you want to do post-MBA?
Whether it's a 1 man panel or a 3 man panel, all other questions will be tailored to your application and your presentation. So have someone look at your file and go through your presentation.
Ultimately, don't over-prepare, because you need to have the mental flexibility for any unexpected questions that come your way. Just remember that you need to be able to phrase your answers in the most positive light.
