This thread will help connect everybody who is applying / will apply to the ESMT MBA program for January 2020 intake. I'm planning on applying well before the early decision deadline, just need to finalize a few things.

It's still early but I think I will apply for January 2020. I haven't given GMAT yet. Are you planning on applying to any other schools such as Mannheim or Frankfurt School?

I missed early decision deadline but striving to get my app in by early bird discount deadline. I have a GMAT re take scheduled for next week. I'm also applying to Mannheim. Good luck to everybody here.

Is anybody concerned about the MBA being off from standard recruiting cycles? I have a buddy who said that consulting firms tend to only take on new candidates in the summer because that's when MBAs typically finish.

That's a valid concern.

I wonder though, how many of the larger consulting firms actually recruit from ESMT. The hiring funnels of these firms—and perhaps the larger financial services and tech firms too—tend to work on the typical MBA recruitment cycle, but my guess is that the hiring process for the firms that recruit from ESMT aren't as nearly as structured.

I just submitted my application. Anybody also applying to any other MBA programs in Germany?

What other schools other than ESMT are you all applying to? Is ESMT your top choice or backup?
