Admissions to University of Amsterdam

desack

Does anybody have a link to statistics about the profile of admitted students to the University of Amsterdam MBA program (GPA, GMAT scores, etc.)? I have done their quick CV scan and it was positive, but I don't doubt that it says that for anybody that meets the minimum requirements. I haven't contacted them other than the CV scan because I don't plan on applying until the next application season anyways. I want to apply to a variety of schools, but don't want to apply to a bunch of schools that would be considered reach schools for me, but I have no idea about this particular school.

Thanks.

I don't think you'll find this to be an especially selective school. I would guess that a 600 GMAT and a 3.0 would be fine.

The guy who recruited me said that because of the relatively small scale of ABS MBA program, it is not ranked generally in some lists, but the program is great for the ratio of prof/faculty v.s. students, and for it's great academic reputation. And job service is personalized and being taken care of at the beginning of the first semester.
Anyway, I have some scholarships from UvA, with 700+ GMAT result, 7 years experiences, top university in my country, 80% GPA. I wanted to apply a top 20 school in The US, but gave up, considering the lousy job market. Neither did I consider RSM, for I don't want to crash into a big classroom with 200+ mates.

Well, the recruiter did their job. However, size is not factor. Ashridge has 30 students, and has no trouble getting into rankings. As a parent UvA has a good *academic* reputation, but its business school is less than average: in the Eduniversal ranking, which is based on academic reputation, it comes 7th out of 13 schools in the Netherlands (http://www.eduniversal-ranking.com/business-school-university-ranking-in-netherlands.html).

You seriously need to get some placement stats for UvA, because with your results you could get int a ranked MBA.

There are, of course, not 200+ people in the classroom at RSM.
