does anybody know why vlerick ghent & leuven management school is so national. Out of 50 people, there are only 3 international students. Isn't it more difficult to adapt to this environment?

You must be referring to the Master in Management --the MBA program has many international students.

I guess that's because there really isn't a clear international market for Masters in Management, at least not as established as the MBA one. The market for Masters in Management looks more like the market for Bachelor degrees: most people tend to study in their own country, close to where they live, probably because employers don't really discriminate between people getting their Master from one university or the other.

Well, as I thought, actually you must be looking for a Master and not for an MBA. But I think a Master in Management would be ideal fro you.

Hello Noya,
Vlerick is a very good school, have a look at the international rankings! I think Vlerick is one of the top European B-schools. Both its careers services and its alumni network are known to be excellent. For info have a look here:
http://www.vlerick.be/mba/careers.htm
You definitely should apply there. Nice sideeffect: Ghent is a beautiful city.

I've been looking around which MBAs are good in Belgium and Netherlands, and I was quite impressed by Vlerick. As I understood, they have improved the program in various aspects some years ago, and after that they jumped in the rankings.

Thanks Irena, Bert, i really appreciate it. I guess i will apply to the school. Besides, the tuition is quite low, so that may allow me pursue master's without any loans :). thanks much for the comments. Cheers

Hello Noya,
talking about living costs, I think both locations of Vlerick, Gent and Leuven, don't have very high living costs.
Since I know that you consider studying in Spain as well, that might still be more competitive though in terms of low living costs. Except for housing I think.
Anyways, I think we should apply to various schools at the same time.
Have a nice day!

Yes Attiya, you are absolutely right, the living costs in Gent and Leuven are lower than in many other European cities. Especially lower than in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, and everywhere in Scandinavia.

Hello guys!
Great program, low living costs, low tuition, nice place... Sounds perfect!
I still would need a scholarship though, since I am from Senegal and have reduced financial means, like many othw students from poorer countries willing to do an MBA.
Does anyone know if there is something like www.grantfinder.nl existing for Belgium?

Have you checked EU scholarships? I bet there are scholarship programs for non-European students.

Hello, I will have a look if there are scholarships on EU level, good idea.
I was just wondering if there is something specifically for studying in Belgium.
