Hello, I am interesting in getting some perspective from this international forum.
I am Chinese. I have already done an MSc in Law and Finance at Oxford. I have been working in China in a financial service company for 3 years now. At this point I am interested in pursuing an MBA.
Now I am not sure if I should go abroad again or stay in China. My talks with colleagues have been mixed. Many people say go to Harvard or LBS and these degrees are highly prized. But others say that it's better to study here. I am a bit confused now.
Please advise? One of my main goals is to work in an international environment (outside of China) for at least a couple of years.

If you want to work abroad then the normal advise is to do your MBA where you want to work. Study in China will give you better guanxi which, if you have done your masters in Oxford, might also be a factor to weigh up. Perhaps an MBA run with a partnership between a Chinese and overseas school, like MIT or Yale, is a good compromise?

What would be the possibility of working abroad if I did an MBA with a partnership between a Chinese school and an overseas school?

If you did the sort of programs I am thinking of, where you spend one year in both countries, then you'd get access to careers services at the international schools. However, if you want to work abroad then do your whole MBA in the target country so you can do internships, get favor access to careers and network your way into employers.
