Has anyone done (or has considered doing) an MBA in South America? I am considering going to Brazil or Peru. I am interested in hearing about the benefits and drawbacks of such an undertaking. I have looked at the following business schools, which offer English MBAs:
Fundação Getulio Vargas
CENTRUM Católica
FIA Business School
I would return to the US after graduation.

I absolutely discourage you from doing that. The English-language programmes at most South American schools are totally trivial, have a very weak cohort and are not well taught. They won't be taken seriously in the USA. There are some strong programs in Central America, like the UNCC-EGADE double MBA, IPADE or INCAE, but it will be much better to take a US MBA and go for an internship or exchange semester there.

EGADE has a range of dual degree programs, and an especially strong relationship with UT McCombs - maybe one of those options would be worth looking into?

Ok I will explore these options. I was hoping to spend a good amount of time (1 - 2 years) in South America.

The Cornell executive MBA is available by video conference in Bogota. Maybe the Manchester Global MBA in São Paulo?

Oh my god. The MBS MBA is super-inexpensive in Sao Paulo: £18.000 https://brazil.portals.mbs.ac.uk/Programmes/ParttimeGlobalMBA.aspx
