I'm having trouble deciding if an MBA is suitable for me or not. I work as an economist, basically statistics, in Toronto with 5 years experience. I'm thinking about leaving my job and heading to South America for a global business perspective. My job is stable, but I'm looking for a broader option. I'm particularly interested in Brazil or Argentina, and I know there's global executive MBA programs that offer exchanges in South America. So I guess my biggest question is, does it make more sense to apply to a program in Canada that will allow me to study in South America, or should I just apply directly to a school in South America?
Any top suggestions for Brazil and/or Argentina programs?
Thanks.

Just to be clear - are you looking for an MBA or an EMBA?
I think if you really want to immerse yourself in South America, there are some really great, reputable schools. You'd probably want to study in the country where you ultimately want to end up - if only for being there and making connections with business and learning the language (if you don't know it already.)
Brazil has a well developed MBA scene. To start, check out:
FIA Business School
Fundação Getulio Vargas / EBAPE
Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP)
And an article on this site:

There are fewer reputable programs in Argentina, but it's getting better:
IAE Business School
Escueal Superior de Economia y Administración de Empresas (ESEADE)
Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina - Escuela de Negocios

Thanks for your help Ralph. I suppose I'm looking for an EMBA, because I have the work experience and I'm looking to climb up. I would like to live in South America after studying, if I can find the work. I do speak some Spanish, but no Portuguese, even though I'm leaning more towards Brazil. So I'll look in these links you provided. Thanks a lot!
