I was hoping i would get good score in today's exam, but unfortunately i didnt. i guess i got very nervous as i did get respectable score in veritas and Gmat prep.

I will however try to find an immigration lawyer, and will surely explore the possibilities, but please if I could be helped with information on a college's intake, i will be gr8ful

USC, UBC, and Schulich will be a stretch at 550 GMAT, 4 years of work experience and Indian nationality.

you may explore the Schulich India MBA program. But apply to McMaster, University of Calgary, Alberta, Ryerson, Tefler etc. Write good essays and cross your fingers. But don't expect any scholarships.

P.S - what score did you get today? Did you send your score to schools where you want to apply or did you cancel it ?

This is it. 550 is what I got. (Have given gmat only once, which was yesterday)
I didnt cancel, i have sent 550 score to ryerson and McMaster.(out of gmat's 5 selection, selected those 2)
alberta, calgary & tefler are untouched as of now.
I will take Toefl/IELTS in next 15 days and will apply in one short to all best universities that will take 550.

Average at Ryerson tends to be about 625 and McMaster says that a competitive score is 600, so these may be stretches for you as well.

Ashar,

What's your question? Logically you are sorted out. Take the GMAT if you get higher score that Schulich / Ryerson want then those 2 are in play, if not then you'd still have one admit.

For multiple admits, go with your priority list to decide between them.

Hi Ayon,

No question as such, I started this thread asking what to do at 550 GMAT
I took tips and suggestions from various places and created a very strong application with one weak point of GMAT

I am accepting Mc Master. Did my research and turns out that it is a very good university with in depth knowledge of subject.
Graduates from IIM/Oxford/hopkins all cousins are suggesting to go with Mc Master rather than schulich or Alberta

ALberta because oil economy is down
and schulich for its uncertainty of getting selected + india campus + fees+ uncertainty of getting 650 in GMAT

If you have ur personal opinion about Mc Master , please let me know

Schulich would be a much better choice - why not take the GMAT again to see if you get in? Compared to Schulich, McMaster is not a very good option - regardless of hearsay.

Hi Ashar,

Congrats on your admit!

Well I am on the same boat with a low GMAT. Could you help me with some tips to overcome the low GMAT. Did you take help of any admission consultant?

No I did not take any help from an admission consultant.
I am a part of start up company. The experience that I got from working here plus 4 years of Accenture (MNC) experience is something which got me through, everything else was very plain and simple.
