Upstate New York-based Union Graduate College has announced that it will launch an MBA/MD dual degree program, in a joint partnership with Albany Medical College.

The program is designed for physicians who want to understand business practices in the field of healthcare. The AACSB-accredited MBA covers a broad range of topics, from health systems management to healthcare finance; and the MD delves into the scientific foundations of clinical care and includes a clerkship.

The new program will take five years to complete, and will launch in the fall of 2014.
