I'm a college senior considering whether to enter into consulting (with Deloitte) or equity options trading. Long term I would like to go back to school and get an MBA. From what I have heard, transitioning from consulting into a top MBA program is expected but my question is how do top MBA programs view trading? I'll have graduated with a good GPA from Northwestern and assume I could write some pretty good essays... So, would doing trading for a few years rather than consulting put me at a disadvantage for getting into a top 10 MBA program?
