Hi,
I would like to know if I can focus on socially responsible investing in an MBA program in the US. I did read an article here on Find MBA about several schools that do so but I am curious what they mean by "focus". Is it an entire program or a few courses taken?
Also I would like to ask if experience in the non-profit sector will do me good. I have worked in an asset management company for four years and I have been working for about a year at an NGO that gives humanitarian aid to North Korea and part time for an environmental NGO. Postion wise, I am at a much lower level compared to my old job in finance so I currently have less responsiblities. Will this affect my chances of getting into those top schools that have programs for SRI?(I found that these schools are very high ranked) What do think my chances are? Is there anything I should do to increase my chances of being accepted?
my GMAT score is 700, and I have a GPA of 3.60.
Thanks in advance for anyone's comments. Please help!

That's a pretty specialized focus. I don't know if there's such a specific program. You might want to think about a more general MBA, or one from a good school that integrates social topics. I'd suggest checking out the Beyond Grey Pinstripes rankings, there are a lot of good programs listed there. Some, like Schulich, are not surprising, but others are: Notre Dame, University of Michigan, RSM Erasmus - all in the top 10!
