Hi!
I would really appreciate some advice on my chances of getting into to a decent MBA school given my strange profile...
30yr old British male
B(SC) hons 2:2 from UMIST Manchester.
3 years experience teaching in Japan. (speak reasonable Japanese)
4 years experience in Commercial Banking, London
2 years experience teaching at British Council in Saudi Arabia.
GMAT : 660 Q:43 V:38 (only 4.0 for the essay part)
I've been looking at Cambridge, Esade, IE, Manchester and Cranfield but really don't know how realistic I'm being.
I've only taken the GMAT once and to be honest didn't focus on the essay section during my preparation. Would it be a good idea to retake or better to spend my time working on decent application essays?
Any thoughts or recommendations would be welcome.

I'd say improving your GMAT would make less difference to schools than a couple more years' commercial experience, including ideally some exposure to managing teams. If you're keen to do one now rather than later, no harm in submitting applications and seeing what the outcome is.

Thanks very much for your comment. Good point on the experience front. I'm really keen to do one soon though so I guess I'll just have to give it a go!
Thanks

Thanks for your advice Mamit!
I have been looking at Warwick too actually . Looks like a really good school. It's so tough to decide between them all.
Appreciate your offer for help with applications as this is all new to me. I'll keep you updated with how I get on.
Thanks.
