It depends on your requirements basically. It will be good if you can tell me more about your profile and your expectations from an MBA degree.

I an engineering graduate with 2 plus years of experience and from India.
I am looking for good univ which provides a good global exposure about business.
Being an overseas student, i majorly rely on the part time jobs for my living expense and will look forward to get a good job once i am done with my MBA.
hope this information gives you a fair idea about my requirements.
Thanks
Lokesh

Hi Lokesh,
Good MBA and part time job can never go hand in hand. If you are looking for a good MBA, you have to be very sure that it will be really expensive and at the same time you will not get enough time to work part time. but if you are considering "money factor" then you have to look for an MBA from an average university.. (not FT ranked). With regards to Job i believe its really tough to get here in the UK if you do an unaccredited MBA, but if you do it from a prestigious school then it will really help you to build your future may it be in UK or India or any where in the world. So i would strongly recommend you to go for an FT ranked MBA even you have to wait for 1 -2 years in order to same more money.

Mamit

HI well not with 2 years of experience but with 3 years. as most of the B-Schools have sept intake so i believe by sept 2012 you will have 3 years of work exp. correct??
it also depends if you would like to take GMAT or not as most of these B-Schools do ask for GMAT along with good academics.
The Schools you can consider are :
1. Strathclyde
2. Birmingham
3. Aston
4. Bradford
5. Leeds
All these are FT ranked apart from Leeds. Which was in FT couple of years ago but not at present.

Apart from a good B-School, you must consider the cost factor as its very important that the school is within your budget and you should not take loan for entire amount. as lot of time student ends up repaying their education loan upto 7 years. regarding jobs i would like to advice you that do not ristrict your self to UK market as job market in the UK is not very promising, howeever if you do you MBA from an FT ranked university, you will be able to explore the job market of Middle east countries (Dubai, Kuwait etc) and south east countries such as HK, Singapore etc.
3rd and most important thing do not relay on PT jobs while you are studying as its very unlikely to get and also the MBA pressure is so high that you will not get enough time to do so. so plan your finance well in advance.
In case you would need any information regarding selecting right universities according to your profile. you can email me your resume and i can try suggesting you some universities.
