Strathclyde vs Bath vs Leeds MBA for international students

alanpyh

Hello,

I am an international student from China with 5 years experiences in Project Management, 2 years from China (traditional PM) and another 3 from Germany (IT PM in online retail, current occupancy). Since my Bachelor academic background is quite weak (70/100) and have no time to prepare GMAT, so I only received offers from Strathclyde, Bath and Leeds.

My goal is, after MBA, to continue in online retail sector and aim for firms like Amazon. I am looking forward to working in UK and my preference will be based on school's placement for international students, especially for junior professional background.

In this case, which school should I go to? Thanks so much in advance for your input.

Cheers
Alan

Does Amazon recruit MBAs from any of those schools? Surely your goal will require you to take the GMAT and apply to much better schools?

Thanks for your reply, Duncan! I fully understand that it's almost impossibe to go to Amazon from these MBAs, I also applied Durham and Edinburgh and waiting for their responses.

If I get admitted by either of Durham or Edinburgh, the decision is so easy, but in case I have to choose from these three, from your point of view, which one is better for international students placement?

Strathclyde certainly has better placement, but the big question is does it place in places where you want to work. It may be better to strengthen your GMAT score and apply for a better programme, perhaps for a later entry.

To get a job with Amazon, you'll probably need to aim for schools that are ranked a bit higher, which means doing the GMAT.
