Social Life as MBA Student in the UK

Hello! I'm getting ready to go to Cambridge this fall for my MBA. I'm American and this will be my first study-abroad experience.

I'm a bit curious to hear about what social life is like as a full time MBA student in the UK. For me as an undergrad, social life was a big part of the experience with many parties and weekend / evening events.

I don't want to revisit those years and I understand that graduate studies are a bit more intellectual and focused. I'm actually looking forward to that aspect of it. However, I want to understand more about the social aspect, especially in the UK - do classmates hang out together? Is it cliquish or networking driven? I'm a bit nervous TBH but in a good way.

Cambridge will have important difference because of the importance of the colleges. Broadly speaking you will have few Brits in any UK MBA, so you will all be in the same boat and will have a lively social experience. Most will be from outside Europe and you can expect many students to organise exploratory trips for tourism and business networking to various European cities.

Thanks, that's good to hear! I'm excited about connecting with people outside of Europe as well as Europeans.
