I can't speak from personal experience, but the signs are that it's pretty good; the biggest full-range business school in the UK, with a wide range of programmes and specialisations to match. Their claim to be the 4th ranked MBA institution in the UK, 9th in Europe and 22nd in the world isn't contradicted by the FT's ranking system, which puts them at 35th in the world (and from which the 9th in Europe claim is drawn). The Economist puts them at 57th in the world, just above Tanaka. 90% of students are foreign - up to you whether you regard that as a strength or a weakness - but then Manchester is a cosmopolitan city, and MBAs are a very cosmopolitan thing, so that's partly to be expected. It also looks like they have a good record on job placements after the MBA (it helps that they emphasise the importance of gaining work experience during the course), and take their alumni network very seriously.

Check out the link to them on find-mba.com (you'll find it in the UK-IRL tab at the top of the page) for a brief breakdown of its MBS's programme strenghts. There's also a link to MBS's own MBA web page, which is fairly comprehensive.
