Why you don't want to take GMAT?
I believe you can get even better college if you take GMAT.
Should give it a shot, who knows, maybe you can get decent score.

Thanks for your replies ..
@ Rhino : I would be interested in applying for Sep '10 Intake. Considering the deadlines, I feel that there wont be sufficient time to prepare for GMAT.still will give a shot at it.

Decent + no GMAT don't go together.
How can you say that there's no time to prepare for the GMAT? How long were you expecting to take to prepare for the GMAT? 2 years?
Come on man, get your act together. If you put in 3 hours a day to studying the GMAT for the next several months, you'll be able to do decently well.
Alternatively, I've got a top university for you that you can apply for. University of Phoenix Online. Even superstars like Shaquille O'Neal went there, and he's paid in the millions now. Think of all the money and top jobs you'll be able to get if you were like Shaquille O'Neal!!! You too can be a superstar.

Seriously, do the GMAT - put in 3 hours a day, everyday.
Remember, the GMAT is about getting your basics correct, if you can master that, you can master the GMAT. I would advise starting with the Manhattan GMAT books, they're pretty good and cover a lot of the basics (quant and verbal).
To get comfortable with doing the GMAT, I would suggest that you search for the 1000 questions verbal/problem solving/etc.

As one of the posts says, they're not the best - but you need to get comfortable with answering questions. So do them in sets of 50, or at least work yourself up to 50 questions a day, then 100 questions a day - the GMAT is very much about mental stamina.
And remember to get the Official Guide, that is a definite. You can also look at the Kaplan 800, that will help once you're comfortable with the GMAT.
Remember, the GMAT isn't to be feared, but it's about conquering it.
And yeah, once you're done, don't apply to University of Phoenix ;)
P/s You have time, even if you don't apply this year.
