Hello,
I have an offer for a MBA at University of Portsmouth and I would like to get more information about it.
Is it a good and valuable MBA?? If anyone can help me I'll be really thankful.

Well it's just about properly accredited, at least. But of course it doesn't feature in any of the rankings (FT and Economist), and Portsmouth is nowhere near a top tier UK university. If you have other options you'd be better off considering them.

I know tha it isnt a top University, but I saw that the Business School is well named and it is in the top 20 for research and it's in the top 5 new Universities.
Anyway if there is anyone can give more informations you are welcome.
Thanks

Hi Pier,
Currently doing the exec MBA at Pth.
There are probably better MBA/Uni in the UK and to be honest I found that some parts of the course were a bit weak. Just want to underline the strong points:
- The marketing team is really good and the course is really at good level.
- I found the finance module very good as well.
- The master classes are in general very good.
- Strategic leadership is good as well.
Weakest points in my opinion are the Ops management, the Information System course, some parts of the strategy and change, and we had sometimes a few issues with the overall organisation.
You have to be clear with your motivations: the PBS is definitely a good place to study and you will get all the support you need from the team. The atmosphere is very friendly and positive. However, if you are aiming for a top ranked MBA and if you can afford one, then Pth is maybe not where you want to be.
I'd be happy to give you more details if you wish but a bit reluctant to put my email address on the forum...
