Hey guys,
I have been accepted on the MBA program at universities of manchester and Sheffield....
I am struggling to choose between the two as Sheffield has just become triple crown accredited... I have looked on the complete university guide and it seems in the uk Sheffield is ranked higher than manchester so now Sheffield has all 3 accreditations will it catch up in the global rankings??
Can anyone give me any advice on choosing between these two universities please?? :-)
Any comments much appreciated!
Thanks xx

That's optimistic. The complete university guide is for undergraduate programmes across all subjects. Sheffield's MBA stands no chance of catching up up with Manchester's unless it wins a £100 million plus endowement, and even then it would take ten years. Manchester has been a world class business school for almost 50 years, and has a huge advantage of scale, quality and brand.

So Manchester is the clear winner then thankyou!
The complete university guide is really unclear then as it does have an MBA section which shows Sheffield as being number 28 and Manchester 29!
I have also applied to a some universities in the US, a couple are tier one and couple are tier 2,
1. Berkeley
2. Dartmouth
3. Duke
4. University of Denver
Could you give me your opinion on getting an MBA in the US vs the UK, I am lucky enough to live in Manchester so it seems the obvious choice to go there....but I'm not sure if I would be more globally recognized if I attended an American university?
Again thanks for any input! X

Yes, the top three of those US schools will be better than Manchester. Look at the FT MBA ranking and give away your university guide.
