Greetings!

I have offers from Lancaster and Sheffield for the MBA. I've gone through various posts on the ranking with Sheffield being ranked high in some and Lancaster taking the lead in others. Presently, I have a scholarship from Lancaster that renders the course fee even. I am concerned about post MBA work options. I come from a Journalism background with 10-yrs work ex. I am looking to move in financial journalism or brand marketing.

Sheffield MBA doesn't even rank Top 100 in Europe. No matter what your goals are, choosing Lancaster should be a no-brainer.

If you found a business school ranking that puts Sheffield above Lancaster, please let us know. 

PS If you want to move into financial journalism, why not take a masters in finance? If brand marketing, why not a degree like the Lancaster AMM?

Thank you for taking time out to revert to my query. 

The ranking list was a generic university ranking. 

To address the second part of your question, I do have an admit for MSc in Finance as well. However, I am keen to pursue an MBA because I wish to broaden my scope.  

If you found a business school ranking that puts Sheffield above Lancaster, please let us know. 

PS If you want to move into financial journalism, why not take a masters in finance? If brand marketing, why not a degree like the Lancaster AMM? 

If the other offer is from a school with a MiF more highly ranked by the FT than Lancaster's, then that could be a serious option to consider.
