How's Cardiff for an MBA?

Guzzmet

How is Cardiff generally regarded? I know it's not a top school but is it nonetheless good? How does it compare with Heriot-Watt? Thanks

I got unconditional offer for Cardiff University's MBA programme.

Since I will be taking a student loan to fund my studies, I am a little hesitant, due to crazy high interest rates.

I plan to stay and work in UK after my MBA. I have 8 years of full-time work experience at the moment.

How can I do a proper ROI and decide?

This is traditionally a programme for students looking to return to India. I think Cardiff does not make any claims about students staying in the UK after their degrees.
If you want to work in the UK, take an MSc or MBA at an FT-ranked business school.

Interest rates are not 'crazy high.' From the mid 90s up until the financial crisis in 2007/08, the UK base rate didn't vary much, typically between 4-6%. It's only a decade or more of policy to keep rates artificially low that make you think they are very high. Be thankful you weren't around for much of the 80s and early 90s when the base rate was 10-15%.

Regarding calculating the ROI, surely this is something simple you can work out for yourself in a spreadsheet or just Google it? There are some online MBA ROI calculators, maybe try the one at mba.com
