Aston vs Brunel vs Strathclyde - MBA with 12 yr experience

Hi All,

I am an IT Sales Professional with 12 years of experience and exploring Jan 2022 intake for MBA.

I am exploring Aston Business School, Strathclyde and Brunel as these are the available for Jan 2022.
As per various rankings its Aston, Strathclyde and Brunel in that order

I am a person who would be moving with family to UK and post MBA employment should be my most important factor in choosing university is what i think. Am i right in thinking on those lines.

Does location play a role in employment. London seems to have more opportunities but Brunel is low on rankings.

Also will any of these three help me in witching careers to Management consulting in IT.

With the limited options that I have which one of the three should I choose.

Britain is a small island and, while there are more jobs in London, unemployment is highest there and the supply of foreign talent is highest there. Strathclyde is certainly the business school that has the best placement record.

Thanks Duncan for your response. I managed to get offers from both Aston(with Scholarship) and Strathclyde. When you say Strathclyde has the best placement record is it that its majorly in Scotland considering London has more unemployment and foreign talent. My wife is into IT in sr. program manager role and i would want to choose a location which helps her too!  Look forward to your response.

You can use LinkedIn to see where its graduates end up. I doubt that it's mostly in Scotland. London Business School alumni are not mostly in London, for comparison.

I think you might also want to look at LinkedIn, at people who work in the consulting firms you want to work in, and see where they did their MBAs. My sense is that the next tier up of schools would be a better choice for this goal.
