Hello,
I have got a 640 GMAT score. But my full-time work experience is 6 months and continuing ( as a independent working insurance agent). I am confused to apply for which B-schools in USA due to less work experience. Please reply asap.

I don't know anything that will fit your needs. If you took the time to improve your GMAT and get a bit more work experience, then most MBA programmes start in September.

Keep in mind that the average GMAT score for admitted students at Thunderbird is around 600; and the average work experience is around 4 years, so your chances of getting in with a 560 and 3 years of experience are not great. Your chances would increase substantially if you were to retake the GMAT and get something above the average (say 620+) - but in any case, your chances of getting a decent scholarship are fairly low with your profile.

Hi Duncan,
I've just given the Gmat. Scored 510. If I apply for Sept 2014, I don't have much time left since international students have a first week January deadline.
Just wanted your feedback on the below colleges and whether you would consider them a stretch.
McGill University
Manchester Business School
USC Marshall
Rice university
Georgetown
National University of Singapore
CUHK
University of Maryland
I do know that some of these colleges are in the top 50, however, would work experience of 6.5 years (7 by the time term starts), a CSR internship with a major hospital, and strong apps be sufficient to push me through any of the above colleges.
As far as scholarship goes, I'm looking at funding myself in full so that's not of utmost relevance for now.
Thanks,
Shatrujit

No, with that GMAT score you would not be a competitive candidate at any of these schools. Even 610 would be difficult.

Hi Duncan,
Thank you for the quick reply.
I checked the forum and I see USC Marshall, and Warwick in the 4th tier.
What chances would I have in these colleges?
Once again, I'd like to reiterate that I am aware I need a better score. However, time is not on my side.
Regards,
Shatrujit

I think you would have no chance with a GMAT under 650.

Hi Duncan,
Appreciate the feedback. I may just have to give the test again.
One last question, can you tell me a few of the colleges where I may be able to apply right now?
