Should I take the GMAT?

I'm applying to Curtin Business School in Australia, and I'm looking for advice on whether I should take the GMAT or not.

The website basically says that if you're not competitive in other ways (work experience, etc.) then it would be beneficial to take the GMAT. In fact, if you score 600 or higher on it they will guarantee an interview. Otherwise, the test isn't required.

I think I'm fairly competitive - but the only thing is that I have 7 years of work experience, and they say that students usually have around 10 years. Is this enough to justify taking the GMAT?

Take it! You'll also work out where you are strong or weak...

Agreed. While I'm sure that Curtin accepts students with 7 years of work experience, I'd think that this is a large enough handicap that it's worth having something else that can help give your profile a boost. A 600+ should be doable, and if it gets your foot in the door for an interview, all the better.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll take it. I did a practice GMAT test and it wasn't too difficult. I think I could easily get 650 or higher.
