University of Liverpool ranking under Economist 2015

Hi,

I had just been updated with the latest Economist 2015 MBA ranking and is shocked by the inclusion of University of Liverpool! While it is well known on its own, I have never expected that it can reached within the top 100, even better than one of the best universities in Asia, The Chinese University of Hong Kong! While I have utmost admiration with the MBA in football program, may I know what propel this program to the top 100 ranking?

Yes, that is very odd. I imagine that Laureate, the business which runs their online MBA, has coached them on how to push up the Economists' rankings. It's mainly about making sure valuable alumni reply to the survey.

Because the ranking is completely reliant on surveys, it's not the most reliable indicator of a school's quality.

Liverpool is a fine school, it's accredited by AACSB, but I doubt competes with FT-ranked schools. Indeed, FT-ranked UK schools like Imperial and Manchester even refuse to take part in the Economist's ranking, so you can't even compare them along the same lines.
