Tepper vs Cornel MBA (Both 2Y, similar scholarship)

Hi everyone,

I have admits from two great schools, CMU Tepper and Cornell Johnson. I have 50k scholarship from Tepper and 40k scholarship from Cornell. I am an international applicant from India, currently working in a middle eastern country in a boutique consulting firm. My post-MBA goal is product management and management consulting as backup. I'm worried about losing out on the Cornell brand and ivy league status if I go for Tepper however, I've heard Tepper will be better if I am looking at product management. Please note that my goals are not fixed and I'm still exploring however, PM seems of interest to me at the moment. My workex so far has been in credit risk for 4 years and in consulting for 1.5 years. I would appreciate insights into if it is realistic to pivot in product management with no prior PM experience. Please help me decide which is a better program.

Thanks!

Have you done some informational interviews with product managers? You need to clarify your career goal to make this choice.

Two other thoughts
- Johnson has a well designed concentration in product marketing (and an eCornell certificate you might want to take in advance). Fintech could be a good fit with Cornell.  Most people would pick Cornell.
- you got big scholarships from both.  You could be admitted at a better school.
