May I ask you to please guide me. I am a dentist living in UAE with 2.5 years of experience and am looking for a career change, in management ( not necessarily in healthcare). I do not have a GMAT score but I am planning to prepare for it as I know the top rated schools want that. I can not afford to leave my job and join a Full Time MBA, because to be honest I can not afford them. So I am thinking to take an online MBA. But my concern is whether studying online instead of face to face with no prior business education a good idea ? Or do you suggest that it is better to take some pre MBA courses first before getting started? Also , can you please suggest online MBAs that offer to finish the course within 12-18 months ?
Pre-MBA courses ?

Studying online is very well discussed on this site. If you don't need to change career or cannot take a full-time course then it's a good option. You will benefit greatly from a full-time MBA, even if you need to borrow to pay the fees.
The FT has a good online MBA ranking. Also see: Online Harvard courses for pre-MBA prep www.find-mba.com/board/35433

Thank you Duncan for your prompt reply , may I ask, I came across coursera and also checked Harvard, can you please suggest which topics to cover or give more emphasis on ( the fundamentals) before starting an MBA for someone like me who do not have prior business education ? I am thinking to get into iMBA Illinois ( I saw your suggestion from another post). Thanks

The key things are to refresh high school maths and to sharpen up business English. That is really what the GMAT focusses on, and they are right to do so.

Your question is off the topic for this thread.
1. Depends on your goals, but probabaly general MBA
2. No.
3. Neither are good.
4. The best value will be high-quality courses, since tey have the best return. See https://find-mba.com/search/result?keyword=&spec=15&program=5&accredition=true

I don't think Geneva has the right to issue awards recognised as degrees by the Swiss government. York St John and Cumbria, which I think issue RKC degrees, will be better.

pansah, did you check out Leicester? It is overall pretty strong in Clinical and Health fields (in undergraduate rankings), and has AMBA accreditation.
the three options you listed, are really not that great

Keep in mind there are much much better options out there.

An MSc in health management or policy could be less costly. Perhaps a better university might be available to you if you focussed on what outcomes you want rather than the MBA title, despite the quality of the university.

Coursera for example has two MPH options, from Michigan and Imperial.

I suggest you search the board. These are worse than average options.
