Hello,
I'm interested in doing an MBA to break into the Luxury business, so that I can get a job in a high-end luxury or fashion boutique.
My question is, should I focus on MBA programs that are specifically centered around Luxury Management or ones that are more broadly focused on Retail and / or Retail Operations. I think that a broader focus might be more applicable but I am not sure that's the best approach when aiming for luxury firms.
Any insights or suggestions to help me sort this out, would be great!

Read the post on luxury linked on my profile page. Luxury brands don't hire many MBAs, and they hire them for functional expertise rather than for luxury industry electives. Focus on strong, excellent general management MBAs with a solid finance and operations core.

Good advice from Duncan. And you should probably try to get an internship with a luxury firm during your MBA. That would give you at least some practical experience.
