MBA in Canada

Moriam

Hi Duncan,

I have read several responses from you and would love to read from you on this also.

Do you have any idea about University Canada West(UCW)? I happen to apply to the school as its one of the affordable schools offering the MBA programme and I have been given a conditional offer letter but I thought to do an extensive search on the school before proceeding. Although some sites mentioned the school, some did not. What can you say about University Canada West, Vancouver?

Would love to read from you soon.

Thanks.

These are the Russian entrepreneurs who run the crisis-ridden London School of Business and Finance and who bought the bankrupt GISMA in Hannover. I really think a chain of brankrupt schools is not a great investment when there are traditional, accredited, ranked non-profit schools available.

I see, I should be thinking of considering other options then... I have never considered taking GMAT and/or IELTS because I have a professional qualification in Accounting, a 3.93 out of 5.00 for my Bsc program from Nigeria and over 6yrs work exp., and I am not sure I will have the time to study, register and take the GMAT and/or IELTS. Would you by any chance know of any good MBA program from a well accredited school that would not require the IELTS or GMAT in Canada? Canada because I would love to relocate(study, live and work there)

Thanks so much for your time Duncan.

A few accredited Canadian schools offer GMAT waivers when applying for their MBAs, but only for very specific cases:

- If you have a degree from a Canadian institution and can demonstrate your quant skills through previous calculus and stats classes, Laurier will waive the GMAT requirement for their MBA.

- If you've passed all three levels of the CFA designation Rotman will waive the GMAT requirement for its MBA program.

- If you do the online Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from SFU Beedie and maintain a 3.5 GPA average during the program, they'll waive the GMAT requirement when you apply for the MBA.

Rotman's a great school. Here's a link to more info about their GMAT waiver:
