MBA for working in Latin America

jb18

Hello all. I am currently looking into MBA or EMBA programs (the location is not the most important part). My ultimate goal is to work in Latin America (particularly Colombia). So I would like to know if anyone has suggestions as to what are the best programs for the region.

Obviously top 10 MBA programs are great anywhere, but I am pretty sure they are out of my reach gpa and gmat-wise(I have not taken it yet but I will not likely break a 650). I live in the US and am 34 with over 8 years business experience. I speak Spanish, English and conversational portuguese.

Thanks for your help.

I remember someone posting here once, that if you want to know which MBA is good for working in Latin America, you should check the 45 ones listed in Latin trade magazine.

David.

In the US you can choose the same top 5 that you would be choosing for working elsewhere in the world.

In Europe, the leading Spanish are IESE and ESADE, and also Instituto de Empresa, but I would recommend either IESE or ESADe.

Thank you all. I guess the consensus is to look at good Spanish programs (especially IESE and ESADE). Also I looked at the Latin Trade pdf and IESE is mentioned.
Thanks again.

What about IPADE Monterrey in Mexico? Has made the top rankings in the FT and WSJ.
