MBA alternative

Sadida

Hi,

I’m Italian, 40, and I work as a consultant.

My activity is about DWH and Big Data technical administration for big companies. I lead a small team of less than 10 colleagues.

I would like to get a title that can let me have a career advance, so I gave a look at MBAs and found many interesting information on this site. Thanks a lot, btw.

The problem is that, if I don’t take into consideration (as you teach me) things like Quantic or ThePowerMBA, everything else seems too much expensive and also a huge effort for me.

Not only SDA Bocconi that is 50k but I also can’t afford MIB Trieste, CIMBA Italy or Coursera Illinois which cost about 20.000€.

So, taking also into consideration that

- I would like to keep working in IT and in Italy

- I already have PMP certification

what is your best suggestion for a lighter kind of study (say about 1 year, 10.000€)?

I’m sorry if I’m a bit out of topic, but I have already read great tipa on this forum and I don’t know anyone else other than you who could answer this question.

Regards

Michele

This depends on what sort of firms you are aiming at. For internationally-oriented firms like Accenture, Amazon, EY, BCG or the big multinationals in the North of Italy, like Lazzaza, Unicredit, or Costa Crociere, then the obvious choice is ESCP, since it has a big campus in Torino and a strong network in those part of the economy: https://escp.eu/programmes/executive-masters/Executive-Master-in-international-business

Thanks a lot for your suggestion, Duncan.
It's online and its cost is interesting. I'll have a look.

Have a nice day.

Have you looked at Unitelma Sapienza International?  It's the online school of  Sapienza University in Rome (which I understand has a strong reputation in Italy?).  They have some masters for less than €2,500.  The price point has gotten some attention on some other business school forums.

That ESCP link was also a nice find from Duncan.
