SPJIMR's on-campus management program has a decent reputation in India. This year it has tied up with Coursera for a 2-year PGDM Online Course: https://www.coursera.org/degrees/pgdm-spjimr
The cost is 10 Lakhs INR/12,200 USD which is a plus in my opinion.
According to the admissions team, the batch intake is going to be 100 students only. The diploma certificate will mention Online and the course is approved by the AICTE. For someone looking to transition from tech to more generalist roles (product/management focused) in India, does it make sense to consider a program that is just starting? We have no way of knowing beforehand the quality of student interaction, recordings, office hours, etc. Also, I am wary of how the industry might receive it after the first batch of students graduate as it's an online program.
How should I go about taking a decision here? Should I consider any other programs?
