Insead vs. HKU (incl. LBS/Columbia BS track)

I am from Europe and planning to undertake my MBA in Asia (all electives in Corporate Finance). Which do you think is the better option?
INSEAD or HKU including London Business School or Columbia NY?

Many thanks in advance.

If you want to work there too, then Insead is probably a better choice. Try: How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

This is a tough one. Do you have admits from both schools?

I'd say that the generic advice is that Insead is the better school, given its rankings and the strengths of its global placements. However, the placements at this school tend to be more consulting-oriented. Even so, it's probably the better school in general for most applicants, especially those looking to go to Europe or the UK after graduation (or of course stay in Singapore.)

However, I'd say that since HKU has great connections with Hong Kong-based employers, and places many people in finance-oriented roles, this is a great choice if you plan on staying in Hong Kong (or even if you're planning on going to other Asian countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.)

But it will also depend on what kind of firm you want to work in. If you have particular industry preferences, see which schools' recruiting contacts align best with your goals.
