I am located in South Africa, I have a Bachelors in Law from Lagos State University in Nigeria my goal is to acquire my Masters in Business in the United States. How do I go about achieving my goal? Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Badejo,

Getting in to a top business school in the states is very competitive. You want to spend a long time thinking about which school is best for you.

I would start by looking at the USA section here:

http://www.find-mba.com/usa

You need to also consider the amount of work experience that most schools are going to require - at least 2 years and ideally more. You also need a good GMAT score.

Once you have started looking seriously at specific schools then post another question on this board. I'm sure you'll get lots of useful responses.

However, lots of people would argue that - assuming you can get into one - its worth paying more, because in the long term your earnings will be that much higher. Each school normally has a section on estimated earnings increases, so you can look there to get an idea.
