Grit vs Glam: Academic performance during B-School

John36

We read a lot about how certain schools will get us to where we want to go. That the brand of the school will open certain doors. But how does academic performance play into all of this? Do post-mba employers factor that in? Does a graduate in the top 5% of his/her class from a top 30 B-school have a better chance of getting an interview at MBB or a top IB firm versus someone who graduated in the lower 5% in a top 10 b-school?
