Fashion School Graduate

Aryan

Hi All,

I am a graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, India (a descent fashion college of India) of 2011 batch. I have an experience in textiles marketing since Oct. 2011 summing up to almost 32 months till now. I have a low graduation score of 58.8% and I'm planning to give GMAT this year. I have been a great sportsperson throughout my graduation and have represented my college at national levels (if this helps). As per my analysis through different mock GMAT exams I may achieve a score of around 680 in GMAT. Struggling with a low confidence level, I want to pursue a full-time MBA in marketing and leadership. I am not able to decide which colleges to focus upon. Also, it is pertinent to mention here that I am receiving calls from HULT International Business School for applying to their programs (but I don't have a valid GMAT score yet). Should I consider it? The fees is too high and no review over the internet had been helpful hitherto.
I would be heartily thankful if somebody can help me sail through this problem. Thanking you in advance.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. It has been of great help.
I want to know about Grenoble Graduate School of Business. How have the reviews been so far? Is it worth going for it? Since they wouldn't require a GMAT score (case specific), should I go for it? Reiterating the fact that I wish to have my MBA in marketing.

I think Grenoble was last in the FT rankings in 2009. It lists its rankings at http://www.grenoble-em.com/292-rankings-2.aspx There are, obviously, better schools you can get into since requiring the GMAT is a strong quality signal.

Take a look at:-
GMAT Tiers - strong schools for your GMAT www.find-mba.com/board/27082

How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

Do you need to speak the local language? www.find-mba.com/board/34713

Why you should take the GMAT http://www.find-mba.com/board/38939

Reiterating the fact that I wish to have my MBA in marketing.

Maybe start with this list if you are interested in pursuing a career in marketing:

A couple of comments:

- Take your time to get the best GMAT score possible. If you're looking generally at schools in Europe, HEC Paris would be the obvious choice, and the average GMAT score there has been 680ish for recent cohorts.

- For best results -- especially if you want to stay in Europe or wherever after you graduate -- you'd want to get a few more years of work experience under your belt.

Can business school give marketing specialists an edge in an ever-changing field?

Top Business Schools for Luxury Brand Management

Top List

From Armani to Versace and Ralph Lauren, luxury brands accounted for over $300 billion in 2021 alone, by some estimates. And with surging demand from the emerging middle classes in countries like India and China, the industry is poised for more growth.

An MBA in Luxury Brand Management can lead to a variety of jobs in this sector, including roles like marketing managers, business development consultants, and brand managers. Some schools offer specialized MBA programs in Luxury, as well as related fields like Fashion or Retail.

Many students interested in breaking into the luxury sector gravitate to hubs like Paris or Milan, where many of the top firms are based; others go to New York City or London to be in the heart of the action. Being near to luxury firms can help with networking opportunities; some students also opt to pursue MBA internships in luxury firms, for hands-on experience in the sector.

See a list of the Top 10 MBAs for Luxury below.
