I would like to understand the EMBA Programs in Europe and how that would be helpful for someone from the US. Would it make sense? and how are the rankings for the EMBA programs

Study in the US if you want to work in the US. It doesn't matter how good they are. Look at the FT EMBA ranking. Many world class schools in Europe have no brand equity in the US.

Thanks, Duncan, for the reply, but I've enough work experience (15yrs) in corporate here to come back and get a job if I want to come back. But I want to work in Europe for few years with an MNC based out there and then probably get transferred back to the US or wherever. That's my thinking...Do you think that's a rational approach to how I'm seeing my career progression.

It's not specific enough for me to grasp if it's the most effective route, but I get your intention. How will you get around the residency requirement? Are you an EU citizen?

I have only looked at Spain (IESE, ESADA, IE) programs and for them the best options are Non Lucrative Visa / Work permit Visa from my current company. I haven’t even looked at France / UK as of now..
Quick question, why do you think ESADA isn’t ranked in FT for EMBA, although their websites states that they are ranked in the TOP 5 for executive education..
As always thank you for your response.. I appreciate that
Cheers
Roy

The EMBA ranking has a requirement for cohort size. Because Esade has multiple EMBA cohorts, perhaps no one cohort regularly exceeds the minimum.

Would you consider FT ranking or QS ranking better or is it comparable in your opinion
As always, thanks for your reply and love your straight forward answers!!

The FT rankings are much more reliable.

That is good information to keep within my back pocket
In your vast experience would you consider IESE /IE / ESADA (Spanish) MBA programs having a global advantage or is it Programs like INSEAD, LBS and few more .
The reason I ask is because I’m from Dubai and hope to work there at some point and will it give me an opportunity to use my Spanish MBA beyond the borders of Spain..
i would need to consider that as well in growth trajectory!
As always thanks for your answers!!

The reputation is where the alumni are. These are very Hispanophone schools, with regulation highest in Iberia and Latin America.
