Hi, I am working as journalist for 9 years now an want to make a MBA to get ready for Leadership roles and maybe change my job.
Since I am based in Vienna, I thought of WU‘s professional MBA in either Marketing or Innovation. The Global MBA seems a little high priced and I think I have good not enough Leadership experience. Unfortunately CEU‘s EMBA is faading out. Do you have any other idea oder what’s your advice?
Thank you,
Max

What sort of leadership role would you like to have? There are not too many adverts for a generic 'leader'. Why take an MBA rather than simply apply for managerial roles in z.b. the media or content marketing?

Since I am thinking about leaving journalism and the media industry because of the precarious working conditions - even as a managing editor.
i thought having a mba would expand my possibilities and help me change my career path.

You need to take the time to clarify your career goals. Taking a part-time MBA without a specific objective won't help you much.

Would a full time MBA then be better?
i just want to relocate and transform my career.
what du you think by the part time programs of WU?

A full-time MBA would be better for some career goals than others. Start one step at a time: what locations and careers best align with your values and aptitude? Consider a career aptitude test, like careerleader dot com. Contact your previous university to see if they offer, or can recommend, career guidance services. A small amount of preparation and goal-setting will help you massively.
Part-time MBAs are better for career acceleration than for career changing. WU is a fine business school but if you want to relocate, then other schools (maybe even language schools) could be better.
