I have an offer from all of the above and I am in the wait list of the two Irish business schools. Where should my priorities lie if I were to choose a place to work in the tech industry after my MBA (I have a tech background of 5 years with multinational companies) and find a decent job (through networking or career services of the school) to stay in the country (that offers MBA) or any place in Europe?

Hi BathingSmurf,
Even I am looking at Vlerick. But I also have EDHEC on my list. I also have a tech background with a focus on Banking.
Have you found out about Career services at Vlerick..?
If you don't mind me asking your GMAT score, and how long did the admissions process take at Vlerick..?
Thanks,
Mallika

Mallika,
That's good to know. Do you mean you have found a place at EDHEC and looking for one at Vlerick? Well if you ask me, I would say - NEVER DEPEND ON OTHERS FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT LIE OUT THERE FOR YOU TO GRAB. If I were to judge, I think they can help you set your career path well. I believe that's what the career cell is supposed to do. Ultimately, it is one's capabilities that define where one lands. The school being one of the only two FT MBA institutes, in Belgium, will have great contacts with the employers.
As far as the admissions are concerned, I would say that you must wait for a while before you hear from them since they are pretty swamped with the applications right now. They have their own admissions test named VBAT. I think they prefer those candidates to the GMAT ones.
Hope you find a place there soon.

Hi BathingSmurf,
I mean that I'd like to apply to both schools, i.e. EDHEC and Vlerick.I meant to ask if you've applied to Vlerick and have been offered a place.
What other schools are you looking at and why..?
Thanks,
M

Unless you spoke Flemish already, why would anyone pick Vlerick over EDHEC? Just compare the placement....
