Hi All,
I have secured an admit in Solvay Brussels School of economics and Management MBA 1 year program.
I am thoroughly confused whether to accept it or not.
Can somebody give me feedback about this school ?
1) I will be a non eu student, would like to know how difficult it will be to find a job post mba ?
2) How is the reputation of this school in Belgium and in near by areas, i mean in france/germany/netherland.
Please I am requesting you all to share some feedback .

What is your background and what you you want to get out of Solvay MBA?
It is a academically fine degree with some reputation in Belgium but largely anonymous in France and Germany.
They seem to help people to move up their ladder career a bit quicker

hi Dono,
Thanks for the reply.
I am having 9 years of experience in IT . I wanted to move into IT consulting post MBA.
Most likely i will be taking a sabbatical leave from my organization to do this MBA. SO i will have an option to join back if i do not get any good option post MBA.
I was worried about the reputation and outcome of this MBA .

It is probably much easier to get a work visa in Belgium and most European countries compared to UK. So with an offer in hand you should not have an issue.. Just not sure how long a student can stay after completion. Ask the school how it works.
Not sure about the job market, but had a friend with a UK mba (non-eu) who got an offer in Belgium. Only spoke english, so it is possible.

I'm a little more cautious. At the Vlerick school, I know that non-EU students have found it challenging. Because Vlerick is both more prestigious and in is Flanders, where business English is more useful than in Brussels, I would imagine it would be harder at Solvay. Ask them.

Agree with Duncan.
I believe that in Belgium, MBA graduates do not get an automatic work visa to stay any length of time. You need to find a company who will sponsor you.
Check with the schools you're interested in to clarify work permit rules.
