Preferred GMAT Score for an Europe MBA

raina_uv

Hi,
I had given GMAT in 2005, but my score was not very high. I scored 630. Is this score good enough for any good college in Europe? Colleges do mention that candidates should preferably have a score above 600. I have a total 5 years of work experience after my 4 yrs of undergraduation. Can someone suggest any such good college?

GMAT is one critera, just this. when a school have 670 average (50% are above but the other 50% are suchs as 650, 630,..) so you may have other strenghts. I you scored 630 first time, do it again, you can easily go up 30-50 points and thus you can increase your options to a top 10 BS in Europe. Where are you from? The fact that you come from a not common country for MBAS and for being a girl, also increases your opps.

Raina,
You should hurry up with the application process, if some of them still have places for Class starting sep.08. Before spending too much time with the applic. you should contact directly with the BS asking them about this situation.

I´ve see much more difficult at IMD or Insead, but maybe you get some lucky news from the others.

Good luck,

Sorry, nothing about ISM. I think that this is not a good option and there aree many schools that can give you better chances for an international career than ISM.

Jan09/sep09 should be faced with differents schedules, and of course you have time (at least for sep09 no applications before sep 08). Also you have time to retake the GMAT.

Hi aspiring MBA applicant,

A GMAT score of 630 is a bit low if you are talking about the first tier business schools in Europe. I would strongly advise you to score at least a 650, even so, it's a bit low and your successful application would highly depend on your other skills.

I have been assisting other aspiring professionals to craft their applications, CVs, resumes and such for their MBA application. Some of my partners and clients are now in top schools such as Oxford, Cambridge, INSEAD and alike. Please pm me to discuss more if you require.

I wish you good luck in your application.

Kind regards,
Thomas
