Hi Vishal,
Please keep in mind that Offenburg is not a real university, but a university of applied science (Fachhochschule), which can be compared with a commercial college in other countries. That means that they will never have the chance to get AACSB or EQUIS accreditation and that they will never be able to enter international rankings. Besides, don't expect much from their career services, since they normally only have a regional company network (many professors of Fachhochschulen used to work as managers in companies of the region before joining the institution).
That means that HHL, a private university, might be the better choice. They have AACSB accreditation and a solid company network. They do not have the quality of Mannheim, WHU or St. Gallen, but their education should match international standards.
Best,
JL

Are AACSB and EQUIS really only for universities and not for commercial college?
i didn't know that!
then should commercial colleges never to be considered as an option ?!

Hi there,
I just wanted to say that Fachhochschulen (like Offenburg) are tier 3 institutions in Germany. They do not have the research reputation, the internationality and the network to have the chance to get internationally accredited. They can offer a solid education, but they will never be able to deliver world-class programs. Fachhochschule Offenburg, for example, is only known in its region.
Best,
JL

well.......that is what I want.......a solid education.......however what I am actually looking is an recruitment during my study or immediately after that.......IF THE EDUCATION IS SOLID THEN I CAN COMPETE AND SHOW MY POTENTIAL ONCE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY.......INTERNATIONALITY CAN BE GAINED ONCE YOU ARE IN THE MARKET......isn't it?
What is of major concern for me is that I need recruitment even if regional......
Well JohnnyL can you tell me what would be the average salaries for MBAs from Offenburg???????
