Hello,
I am new here, though I ve been brought up to speed by some of the discussions which I ve been reading so far. Let me start with my background. I graduated last year in May 2011 in electrical engineering with 78.1 %. My work experience includes my 1 year stint in a construction company as their junior administrative officer and presently I am a marketing and sales executive in an ad agency, which is further branching out to provide IT solutions. So in all, I would sum up my work experience to be a shade over 1 year and 2 months.I have also been an event manager for 2 years, having my own start up company(registered) in India. My IELTS overall score is 8.5
I have been considering the Masters in Marketing in GGSB. The completion of the course ensures a dual degree from GGSB as well as CIM. Also there is the additional advantage of getting into the good books and hopefully the corporate connections of CIM.
My query is simple? 1. Is the course worth doing, specially with the ongoing Eurozone crisis? 2. What are the job prospects in France/Europe or worldwide after this course?( Their website says companies directly recruit from them, which if true is quite an advantage ) Also, i can speak french, though not fluently, But by the time this course gets over, I would be most certainly be able to converse and write in French to a good extent.
Thank you all for your time :)

It's an impossible question to answer, because Grenoble is the only option you mention. Is something better than nothing: of course it is!
First, Grenoble is totally wrong to describe this as a dual degree. The CIM diploma is not a degree. The CIM's corporate connections are not so strong that many entry level positions will require the CIM diploma. The CIM is really strong in the UK, but not so much elewhere.
Second, Grenoble's flagship MSc is the Master in International Business. Why not take that or one of the other top MSc's that don't require a degree in business? http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/masters-in-management-2011

Hello Duncan,
thank you for replying. I might have phrased my question a bit wrong.Let me put it this way. The deadline for admission to the Masters in Marketing is on the 12th, ie tomorrow. According to them I could easily secure a seat there if I paid an application fee. I have given a lot of thought about Grenoble's MIB. The very fact that it is Grenoble's flagship program indicates that a lot of blokes would be trying for it. So the dilemma is, on one hand I can opt for the Msc Marketing easy, while on the other hand I could let it go and take my chances with the MIB where i might or might not score an entry.
Hence, I wanted to know a bit more about the marketing course, whether it is in good standing and as well known as their MIB program.

You are not getting the best outcome. If you know that you are certain of a place, why not pay the fee to Grenoble and then start to look for a more competitive and selective school? If you are assured of admission by paying a fee then it stands to reason that you are better than the average applicant. However you will be stretched more in a cohort which is, on average, at your level of better. And such a cohort would attract better employment options.
Grenoble's poor selectivity does not give is strong foundations for the future. Right now I don't understand why you are giving yourself only one option. Take the option you have and then look urgently for the best alternative. A top MSc programme is worth waiting a year for.
